Sorority recruitment is an exciting and important event in the life of many college students — it's a chance to join a sisterhood, make lifelong friends, and engage in meaningful activities on campus. However, preparing for sorority recruitment can be overwhelming if you don't know where to start. That's why we've put together this comprehensive guide to help you navigate the process and ensure you make a positive impression. Get ready to embark on an incredible journey towards finding your perfect home!

Don't forget self-care: get enough sleep, eat nutritious meals, and stay hydrated. Take breaks when needed and engage in activities that relax and rejuvenate you. Remember, taking care of yourself will help you be at your best during the entire recruitment process. Make sure to put yourself first!

Showcase your involvement: emphasize how your life experiences and extracurriculars have shaped you and your commitment to making a positive impact. Highlight your favorite activities, leadership positions, and volunteer work. What makes you, you?

Be true to yourself: each chapter is made up of girls from all different backgrounds with varying interests, so it’s important to be yourself. We are all unique in our own ways, and that is what makes you, you.

Lean on your Rho Gamma: Rho Gammas are there to be your guide throughout formal recruitment. They are there as a shoulder to lean on and a friend while going through this process. A Rho Gamma is an upper class woman from one of the chapters on campus who disaffiliated from her sorority for a period of time to provide unbiased guidance and support to potential new members. A Rho Gamma is also a role model, cheerleader, coach, confidant and friend. They are there to help!

Keep an open mind: each chapter is so much more than what meets the eye. Rather than just a set of letters, a chapter is made up of individual women with their own personalities and reasons for being a member of that chapter. Going into recruitment with an open mind allows you to get to know the women of each chapter and make a decision based on where you feel most at home.

If you go into recruitment with a specific chapter in mind, you may not be open to the chapter that is best for you. Trust the process! As someone going through recruitment, it is so important to get to know each chapter for yourself and make decisions from there. You might just be surprised at what you find!
